Professional Certificate in Theatre & Acting

Upholding a basic understanding of theatre as a performing art, this course examines a variety of acting styles in the preparation and presentation of monologues and scenes found in drama and movie. Students will be immersed with different acting techniques chosen at the discretion of instructor in accordance with his or her expertise. Improvisational theatre techniques, actor and space exploration, character analysis strategies, and breathing relaxation techniques will be included as part of learning process through lecture, ensemble discussion, role-play and performance of scene.
